Thursday Lunchtime Concerts Autumn 2010

Join us on Thursdays at 1.15 for a warm welcome, a friendly atmosphere, and a very varied programme. Organ recitals, chamber music and perfomances by young musicians from local schools and universities are just some of the things you can hear at the Thursday Concerts. Admission is free, and a light lunch of sandwiches, tea and coffee is available from 1.00 pm.

Yorkshire Three Choirs Festival 2010
2nd - 4th October

Since 1981, the Boys and Men of the Choirs of Leeds Parish Church, Ripon Cathedral and Wakefield Cathedral have combined for a celebration of choral music. This year's programme boasts two concert performances including Duruflé's atmospheric Requiem, and Choral Evensong featuring works by Dyson and Vaughan Williams.

7.30 pm: Festival Concert

Monday 4th October at Leeds Town Hall
1.05 pm: Concert

St Wilfrid Festival: Son et Lumière
Saturday 9th October, 7.30 pm
£10 from the Cathedral shop or on the door 

The Cathedral's magnifcent Harrison and Harrison organ and state-of-the-art lighting technology combine to tell the story of the life of St Wilfrid. A unique way to experience the sacred space of Ripon Cathedral as we celebrate our patron saint.
